Hey all,

  1. V2 Technologies provides Software Services for various clients around the world including US, Australia, Israel, India, Singapore. Our clientele includes 3 Fortune 500 clients.
  2. By using the software “etAMCAP”, you can get high resolution video capture or still image capture which could be up to 1280.1024 pixels. Enter the options setting, choose video capture pin and then set the video compression to be YUV2. The video resolution (size) could be set from range 320.240 to 1280.1024.
  3. EtAMCAP application software for camera control and video capture. Opticstar View application software with more advanced functions and usability. Nebulosity Lite for single shot image capture and processing. PHD Guiding for telescope auto-guiding. Plug-in for AstroArt support (you must already have AstroArt to use this).

Mar 13, 2011 Hi there, I came across this software that was mentioned in another thread and I want to download it and give it a go to see if it helps me focus my webcam easily. The problem is I cannot find any site that hosts the file, all links redirect to the CDC site and there is no mention of it on there. Continued use of SGL indicates your acceptance of our cookie policy. With the mount tracking Vega I used Etamcap to see what was on the sensor, there was Vega did a bit of refocussing and switched over to PHD.I let the program go through its calibration using Vega which took about 10 mins (is this normal ) then came the magic green crosshair and a guiding caption at the bottom of the box.

Purchased an Opticstar PL131 M coolair for use as Planetary/guide cam.
loaded all onto my 2yr old HP Pavilion Laptop (Win7 64bit 8GB Ram), everything shows as ok, ie, all software 'sees' the camera, device manager says all working, but it doesnt work properly. Removing/replacing the cap over the sensor gives either a flat white or black 'preview' screen, and it takes about a minute to register the change!!
emailed George at Opticstar, he suggested trying it on different computer to eliminate any problem with the camera (D'oh). So, loaded onto my 7yr old unbranded Pentium desktop running XP home, BINGO, first time, remove cap, screen instantly turns white and then calms down to grey'ish' horizontal banding, presumable as the cam tries to auto adjust gain, exposure etc. So, then tried install on a friends 2yr old Toshiba laptop, win7 64bit 4GB Ram, BINGO, first time, same as my knackered old desktop.
I've tried disabling the built-in webcam, enabling background services and a USB2.0 repeater cable that George at Opticstar sent out to me, all to no avail. Etamcap (software that comes with it) was also showing 'VDP source' in the devices drop down, so did a little lookup and this seems to be something to do with video streaming via bluetooth, so disabled the bluetooth just in case, but no!!
I'm at the point now where im considering getting my hands on an old laptop that it will work on and just use this for astro use outside (which might not be a bad idea anyway) unless anyone has any ideas??Etacap jefe caan
All input welcomed with open arms

thanks in advance
