Fallout 2 only shows up as a windows game, but other people seem to be able to use it on mac. Are they partitioning their computers? If so I don't see how that is running fallout 2 on OS X. How do I run Fallout 2 on mac without partitioning? Just for a note, the Fallout & Fallout 2 downloads for Mac currently available on Gog.com (as of March 2015) do NOT run on the latest OS X, although with a bit of annoying Wineskin manhandling, the situation is not unfixable. (Please don’t ask me how here) – Alan H. Mar 25 '15 at 4:05. Fallout 1 (and Fallout 2) Hi-Res Patch for Mac OS X. Fallout 1 was originally designed to run at 640x480 resolution. I wanted to run the Mac OS X version of Fallout on my MacBook 11', which has a 1366x768 display. There is a high resolution patch, but it only supports the Windows version of Fallout. Like much of GOG.com's catalog, the three free Fallout games are older - Fallout originally debuted in 1997, Fallout 2 in 1998 and Fallout Tactics in 2001. Also, like many of GOG.com's games, the three Fallout games are not 'native' Mac (or Windows) ports - in fact, they run inside of a DOS emulator.

What is Fallout (for Mac OS 7-9)? Considered one of the first true cRPG games. That is, it's not the adaptation of ADnD process to new medium. fallout1-classic.zip(531.47 MiB / 557.29 MB) System 7.0 - 7.6 to Mac OS 9 / Zipped 1034 / 2015-03-25 / 2018-03-01 / 716f4c3f14fb5da023f50256efd39b716dc5560b / / Fallout_Character_Editor.sit(212.84 KiB / 217.95 KB) / compressed w/ Stuffit 66 / 2016-08-15 / 4f867703c724b1f44b42a6d74b9507a426155ab9 / / Fallout-ppc-demo.img.sit(21.03 MiB / 22.05 MB) / DiskCopy image, compressed w/ Stuffit 39 / 2016-08-15 / b2f6c66e1cc7eeb6b3f6f98e4c103200a563426b / / Architecture
